The Southern Nevada Workforce Investment Board Oversees Workforce Investment Act (WIA) employment and training services throughout the Southern Nevada Workforce Investment Area which includes the counties of: Clark, Esmeralda, Lincoln and Nye, and the cities of Boulder City, Henderson, Las Vegas and North Las Vegas. Through the Southern Nevada Workforce Investment Board’s Nevada JobConnect Consortium, employer services are managed and delivered through comprehensive One-Stop Centers, called Nevada JobConnect. There are four comprehensive Nevada JobConnect One-Stop Centers located in the Southern Nevada Workforce Investment Area. Through Nevada JobConnect One-Stop Centers, businesses and employers have access to complete and comprehensive workforce services in central locations, offering on-site employer training resources, job order processing, and job referral and placement services, meetings and interview rooms are available, training centers for workshops, basic computer and other automated equipment and services as needed. Employer and business employment services are also offered through Southern Nevada Workforce Investment Board’s affiliate Nevada JobConnect Systems sites, with additional partner services throughout the Southern Nevada Workforce Investment Area. |
