Southern Nevada Workforce Investment Board oversees the Nevada JobConnect Centers in Southern Nevada. Nevada JobConnect is statewide workforce system created to meet the needs of businesses and job seekers in a seamless, easy to understand manner. The system serves SNWIB's localities as the primary connection in bringing together businesses with positions to fill, and qualified job seekers. The workforce system established under the Workforce Investment Act emphasizes informed customer choice, system performance and continuous improvement. In order to maximize customer choice and assure that all significant population groups are served, SNWIB issues a request for proposal to select competent providers. Selected providers receive Adult/DW or Youth WIA Title I funds to provide training, employment services to eligible adults, dislocated workers, and youth clients.
