ooREQUEST FOR PROPOSALS Public Notice Workforce Services for Transitioning Foster Youth
The Southern Nevada Workforce Investment Board (SNWIB) announces the issuance of a Request for Proposals (RFP) to competitively award Workforce Investment Act Title I Youth Formula funding in the Clark County. RFP will result in services to current "aging out" and former Foster Youth between the ages of 17 to 21 at the of enrollment.
Proposals are sought that outline workforce services for current and former Foster Youth in order to provide enhanced connections to obtain long term outcomes such as basic educational and employment skills, completion of academic certificates (including high school diplomas and equivalents), and placement in employment, post-secondary education and/or training. One contract will be awarded through this procurement.
The RFP will be available electronically on or about August 22nd, 2008 on the SNWIB website at www.snwib.org A hardcopy of the RFP is available for pick up at the SNWIB new offices located at 7251 West Lake Mead , Suite 200, Las Vegas, NV 89128.
There will be an optional Bidders Conference on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 9:00 A.M. at Clark County Government Center located at 500 S. Grand Central Las Vegas, NV 89155 in the Gold Room (note this has been changed from the Purchasing Room).
The deadline for proposal submission is Monday, September 29, 2008 no later than 4:00 P.M. late proposals will not be accepted.

The successful bidder will be required to partner and coordinate services with the Clark County Department of Family Services (DFS), as well as the DFS Independent Living contractor and Step-Up Aftercare contractor.
