The Southern Nevada Workforce Investment Board Oversees Workforce Investment Act (WIA) employment and training services throughout the Southern Nevada Workforce Investment Area which includes the counties of: Clark, Esmeralda, Lincoln and Nye, and the cities of Boulder City, Henderson, Las Vegas and North Las Vegas. Through the SNWIB's Nevada JobConnect Consortium, employer services are managed and delivered through comprehensive One-Stop Centers, called Nevada JobConnect. There are four comprehensive Nevada JobConnect One-Stop Centers located in the Southern Nevada Workforce Investment Area.

The Southern Nevada Workforce Investment Board Oversees the JobConnect Centers located in the Southern Nevada Workforce Investment area and selects the service providers who offer training and employment services to eligible adults, dislocated workders, and youth clients.

SERVICE PROVIDERS

Nevada JobConnect is statewide workforce system created to meet the needs of businesses and job seekers in a seamless, easy to understand manner. The system serves SNWIB's localities as the primary connection in bringing together businesses with positions to fill, and qualified job seekers. The workforce system established under the Workforce Investment Act emphasizes informed customer choice, system performance and continuous improvement. In order to maximize customer choice and assure that all significant population groups are served, SNWIB issues request for proposals to select competent providers. Selected providers receive Adults & Dislocated Workers or Youth WIA Title I funds to provide training, employment services to eligible adults & dislocated workers, and youth clients.
